Conidia Bioscience’s original patented design, the Fuelstat™ resinae test kit, which detects microbial contamination in aviation fuel in 10 minutes, has been in use in the aviation industry since 2001 and is now used by more than 320 commercial airlines around the world (including Qantas and Virgin Blue) with OEM (Boeing, Airbus Industrie etc) and IATA (International Air Transport Association) approval.
In 2006, in response to calls from the marine and land vehicle operators, and in particular the navies, for a real-time test for microbial contamination in diesel delivery systems, tanks and bunkered fuel, Conidia Bioscience commenced a research project to develop the FUELSTAT™ Diesel Test Kit for use with marine and land based diesel fuels.
Recognising the problems microbes cause in other types of fuel, Conidia Bioscience and partners CABI, an international ‘not for profit’ organisation, developed a 3n1 rapid test kit for fungal and bacterial contamination in marine, land and stored diesel and biodiesel fuels.
